ValutaKözpont collects and publishes exchange rate data from Hungarian currency exchange offices in an aggregated form. As an independent service, we help you find the best exchange rates in Budapest.
The buy rate shows how many forints you receive when exchanging foreign currency (e.g., EUR, USD) to forints. Use this rate when you have foreign cash and want to exchange it to HUF.
The sell rate shows how many forints you need to pay when exchanging forints to foreign currency. Use this rate when you have HUF and want to buy foreign currency.
Most exchange offices charge a handling fee, commission, or transaction fee depending on the amount exchanged. This is typically 0.3% of the exchanged amount, with a maximum of 10,000 HUF. Some exchange offices do not charge a handling fee. Always ask about the exact terms before exchanging.
Exchange rates are automatically updated every 10-15 minutes. The exact update time is displayed next to each rate.
Yes, ValutaKözpont is completely free for users. We do not require registration, do not store personal data, and do not track users.
