How we handle your data and protect your privacy.
We do not process or store personally identifiable information. Using ValutaKözpont does not require registration, and we do not request personal information. Geolocation is optional and only occurs in your browser; we do not store any location data.
Requests to the server are logged for debugging and security purposes. The logs include the time of visit, visitor IP address, page URL, and browser type identifier. This data is not suitable for identifying individual visitors and is not used for marketing purposes.
The site uses functional cookies and — with your consent — analytics cookies. The vkp_consent cookie (1 year) stores your cookie preference. If you accept analytics, a random session identifier is created in sessionStorage (cleared when the tab closes) and a vkp_seen boolean flag in localStorage. We do not use marketing cookies or third-party tracking cookies.
If you accept analytics cookies, we collect anonymous session events (page views, interactions). We do not collect names, email addresses, or any personally identifying information. Data is used solely to improve the service.
Session IDs are random, created per tab, and not linked to any individual. They are automatically deleted when the tab closes. No cross-session tracking occurs.
IP addresses are truncated to subnet (/24 IPv4, /48 IPv6) at the moment of receipt. Full IP addresses are never stored. Subnet data is automatically deleted after 7 days.
Raw events: 90 days. Aggregated statistics: 2 years. IP subnets: 7 days.
You have the right to access your data, request its erasure, or object to processing. Consent can be withdrawn at any time via the cookie settings.
We do not share data with advertisers, ad networks, or data brokers. Map services used for map display operate according to their own privacy policies.
